The world was righted as the Morgan Trojans, as expected to do, advanced to the 3-A championship game in high school volleyball and defeated region foe Juan Diego in three straight games to win the match and the title. Morgan easily defeated Juab in their opening match followed by their toughest match of the tournament. Morgan defeated Delta 3-1 but all four games were close.

Morgan then defeated Hurricane in the semifinals 3-1.

Delta had the best showing of the five region 12 teams in the tournament. Delta defeated Union 3-0 and North Sanpete 3-1 and then Richfield 3-1 to finish in fifth place. With the loss, Richfield finished in seventh place.

Desert Hills defeated region rival Hurricane for third place with the Tigers finishing fourth. Carbon defeated Park City in the battle to finish sixth.

Emery opened their tournament with 3-0 loss against Wasatch. Scores were 25-16, 25-12 and 25-19. Emery then played Judge Memorial and defeated the Bulldogs 3-2. Scores were 16-25, 12-25, 25-23, 25-22 and 15-13. Emery rallied from two games down to grab the win. Emery then faced against Park City tand lost 3-0 to close out the tournament. The scores were 25-17, 25-15 and 25-21.

Emery played well against veteran teams. Emery is loaded with younger talent and should continue to improve over the upcoming years.

Emery has played in a very tough region the past several seasons against teams like Delta, Richfield and North Sanpete that take the game very seriously.

With realignment happening next season, Emery's new region may very well look much different but the team could do well regardless of where they land.
