It was just what the doctor ordered. The Emery High Lady Spartans played twice at home and ended up with two blowouts as the team finally played well as a team. Emery defeated North Sevier by 44 points on Tuesday night and defeated ALA by 60 points on Thursday night. Final scores in those games were 79-35 and 85-25.

Neither team had an answer for Emery's Taylor Mann. Mann, in less than three quarters of play in each game, scored 24 points against ALA and 23 points against North Sevier. Mann also pulled down eight rebounds in each game and added six blocked shots in the two games.

After the game Coach Steven Gordon talked to the players, "Good game, good job. The most important thing was that you played hard tonight. You got after them." During the game it showed that the team was not just content with winning, they wanted to play well in doing so.

In the game, Jeffs finished with 20 points, Jensen scored 16 points, Kim Oldroyd scored 10 points, Tayler Jewkes scored eight points, Jessica Murray, Jeridi Price and Laurel Roundy each scored two points and Shailee Stokes scored one point. Emery made 16 of 17 free throws in the game.
