PRICE-Victor Santi, age 83, passed away peacefully May 28, 2011 in Price while surrounded by his family.
He was born March 3, 1928 in Price, Utah to Louis Gino and Filomena Nicolavo Santi.
Vic was a lifelong resident of Price and a member of the Catholic Church. He honorably served his country in the US Army during World War II. After returning from the service he married Ella Greenwood on July 28, 1953 in Reno, Nev. and they made their home in Price. They later divorced.
For years he owned and operated the El Rancho Lounge and Steakhouse where he never met a stranger. Vic was always looking to promote the next big land deal and trying to convince everyone of his point of view, whether good or bad.
Vic was a "Carbon County Classic" who could always be found sitting on his porch, driving around town or awaiting one of his next big gambling expeditions. He was a generous individual who made many lifelong friends. Whenever Vic departed his circle of friends, he would utter the Italian phrase "Areverderchi", have a good trip.
He is survived by his son, Louis (Kathy) Santi, Price; daughter, Paula (John) O'Green, Groveport, Ohio; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rose Santi; brothers, Joe and Albert Santi; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
