PUBLIC NOTICE, Petition for Annexation

    
   

	A petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the
Huntington City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of a
parcel of land belonging to Joseph J. Black and Kendra V. Black, at
approx. 425 feet East of 200 S, more specifically described as
follows:

	Beginning a point which is East of the Northwest corner of the
Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 30, Township 17
South, Range 9 East SLB&M, said point being on the existing Huntington
City Boundary; thence South 150.00 feet along said City Boundary
thence East 352.3 feet; thence North 150.00 feet; thence West 352.30
feet to the point of beginning; containing 1.21 acres more or less

	Notice of certification was received by the Huntington City Council
on April 18, 2012. The complete annexation petition is available for
inspection and copying at the office of the Huntington City Recorder. 


	Huntington City may grant the petition and annex the area described
in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed
with the Emery County Boundary Commission through the Emery County
Commission Office at 75 East Main, Castle Dale, Utah 84513, and a copy
of the protest delivered to the Huntington City Recorder at 20 South
Main Street, Huntington, Utah 84528 by May 21, 2012.  A protest to the
annexation petition may be filed by property owners if it contains the
signatures of the owners of private real property that: (1) is located
in the unincorporated area within 2 mile of the area proposed for
annexation; (2) covers at least 25% of the private land area located
in the unincorporated area within 2 mile of the area proposed for
annexation; and (3) is equal in value to at least 15% of all real
property located in the unincorporated area within 2 mile of the area
proposed for annexation.
