Lexie Huntington rebounds for Emery.
The Emery High lady Spartans split their two away games last week. On Tuesday, Emery traveled to Richfield and lost to one of the best 2-A teams in the state by the score of 53-44. On Saturday evening, Emery traveled to Grand High in Moab and came home with a solid 63-20 win.
At Richfield, the Wildcats controlled each of the first three quarters in grabbing the victory. Emery was outscored 7-4 in the first period, 12-9 in the second and 18-14 in the third. Against Grand, the team expected the game to be over early and it was. Emery won the first period 16-3 and the second period 16-2 to lead at the half 32-5. Grand has struggled so far this season. Emery won the third quarter 29-15.
