Castle Dale book club

Participants in the adult book discussion show off their book club T-shirts.

On Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m in the Swell Conference room of the Old Courthouse, the Castle Dale Library presented their second adult book discussion, Thunderstruck by Erik Larson.

This program was made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

Participants watched a video from the author Erik Larson, who talked about his book, and a video by sculptor Roxanne Swenzell.

Suzanne Anderson from the Emery County Archives showed artifacts and told their story.

Kelly and Tenille Larson from Worley Jensen Monument discussed how monuments were made and how they still are telling the story our ancestors. Door prizes were given out.

Castle Dale Library has a number of programs available including story times for preschoolers.

They also received a STEM grant for activities related to science, technology, engineering and math.
