The Emery County Democrat Convention will be held April 28 at 6 p.m. at the Museum of the San Rafael, 96 North 100 East, Castle Dale.
The Emery County Republican Convention will be held on April 5 at the Emery County Recreation Center, 75 South 400 East in Castle Dale. The doors will open at 6 p.m. to ask questions of candidates. The convention will begin at 7 p.m. There is no charge.

The Miss Castle Dale Pageant will be held June 2 at the Emery High Auditorium at 7 p.m. Applications are now being taken from ages 5-21. Queens and runner-ups will receive cash prizes. Miss Castle Dale will have the opportunity to be sponsored in the Miss Emery County Pageant. Applications may be obtained at the Castle Dale City Hall. Deadline is May 5. The Emery High wrestling team is looking for sponsors for their wrestling team. Attending tournaments throughout the year is expensive but necessary to add to the strength of the team. The Cleveland Elmo Youth Town Councils will sponsor this year's Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 at noon.
