The Oak Hills Vaulters will entertain during the races at Peach Days. They will perform gymnastics on horse back. The vaulters will be available to answer questions and let those who would like to try some of the maneuvers ride the horses. They will be set up behind the barns at the Ferron Race Track on Sept. 8 at 1 p.m.

Ticket price to enter the Fairgrounds on Sept. 8 will be $7 per person and will admit you to the races, derby and dance. Advance tickets may be purchased at Ferron City Hall for $25 per family (family of five) or $6 for individual pass. No family passes will be sold at the gate. No alcohol is sold or allowed on City property; please do not bring carry-in coolers.
Girl scout sign-ups for the Ferron, Emery and Clawson area will be held at Ferron Elementary in the lunchroom on Sept. 6 immediately following school.
President Bush declared a major disaster in Utah on Aug 21. As a result agriculture producers are eligible for Farm Service Agency emergency loans. Miner's from all the towns are invited to come and ride in the Peach Days parade on Saturday morning as honored citizens. They will be honoring all of the Miners for the brave contribution to our communities.
The ladies only ride during the Arapeen ATV Jamboree will be held Sept. 5. The cost is $10 and that will cover the lunch. Lunch will be catered on the mountain. Castle Dale Daughter of Utah Pioneers will be hosting a lunch and a short program on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Castle Dale Senior Center. Everyone is welcome to attend. The group also meets together on the second Monday of every month.
A spaghetti dinner to raise funds for the families of the miners of the Crandall Canyon mine disaster will be held at the Emery Recreation Center at 100 North and 100 West in Emery. Green River Melon Days will be held Sept. 14 and 15. On Sept. 14 activities include softball games, Miss Melon Days Pageant and square dancers. On Sept. 15 vendors will be in the park all day. Entertainment in the park, parade, softball games and other activities. Free all you can eat watermelon in the park.
