Local choirs fill the air with Christmas music

The Emery High combined choir sings at the concert at Emery High School.

The Emery High and combined Canyon View Junior High Christmas chorus concert, under the direction of David Bird, was held recently. The junior high chorus sang All Around the World Tonight, Christmas Joy, Sweet Holy Child and Madrigal of the Bells. The Canyon View and Emery High combined men's chorus sang Sillancico. The EHS men's chorus sang Going to Bethlehem and Sleigh Bells.

The Carbon High choir made an appearance, directed by Tony Pinedo, and performed several numbers.

The EHS women's chorus sang Shoheen and was accompanied by Natalie Baantjer. They also sang Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening and Santa Baby.

The combined women's choirs sang Jolly Old St. Nicholas. Heard About a Newborn King was sung by the CVJH and EHS combined womens choirs.

As a finale, the EHS aCappella choir sang What Sweeter Music.
