The 10th annual domestic violence awareness luncheon will be held Oct. 15 at noon in the county building on the second floor. The guest speaker will be licensed clinical social worker Jackie Graham and the topic will be developing violence free families. The lunch and program are free, everyone is welcome and there will be doorprizes.

Park - Green River Bats. Bats aren't creepy, crawly pests. They are fascinating animals that play a big role in Goblin Valley's ecosystem. Oct. 31 will be the last limb pick-up until the spring clean-up. Dumpsters will be at the rodeo grounds, do not place anything on the ground. The Emery County Landfill is requesting these items not be placed in the dumpsters: tires batteries oil no liquid of any type such as paint, turpentine, etc., pesticides, cement, refrigerators. A $12,000 fine could be imposed for violation of these guidlines.

The Cleveland Town fall burn season is from Sept. 20 to Oct. 19. Permits availabe at the Town Office 100 W. main. Everyone must obtain a permit prior to burning.
The College of Eastern Utah Prehisoric Museum announces their upcoming enhibition, "Picture This." The exhibition will consist of images submitted by local amateur photographers.
