Any youth currently in ninth-12th grade that would like to participate in the 4-H Summer Education Camps, please register as soon as possible. The camps are filling up fast and we have spaces for local youth to attend. The archeology camp at Range Creek will be June 15-19 and the Paleontology camp is July 13-17. A boutique will be held May 15 from 5-10 p.m. at the Orangeville Community Center (the old firehouse.) There will be hand made aprons, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, vinyl lettering, girly bows, NuSkin, and much more. Come and havesome fun.

An open house will be held for JR Nelson in the foyer of the Emery High School auditorium on May 20, from 5-6 p.m. JR is retiring from the Emery School District and Emery High School faculty after more than three decades of teaching and coaching. All current and former students, family and friends are invited to the open house. Following the open house, the Emery High Senior Awards Program will be held in the auditorium at 6 p.m. That will be followed by Senior Talent Night at 7:30 p.m. After that, the Yearbook Stomp will take place in the old gym where the 2009 yearbooks will be distributed.
Men and Women softball team registrations are due before May 19 at the Emery County Recreation Center. Mens league will begin May 26. Womens league will begin May 27. Call Emery County Recreation at 381-2108 for more information.
