HUNTINGTON: Sherrie Lynn Horrocks Macdonald, 65, returned to her Heavenly Father Aug. 18, 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mom was born March 31, 1945 in Murray, Utah to Robert and Hellace Swain Horrocks. She grew up as the youngest of five children on a small farm in Bluffdale. Sherrie graduated from Bingham High School in 1963 marrying her childhood friend Leon Crump that same year. Together they had two children JuNette and Destry, later divorced. In 1974 she was remarried to her life-long sweetheart Joseph Morris Macdonald. They had two sons J.R. and David. Joe and Sherrie were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 5, 1981. Mom was a very special woman who was always hard at work taking care of others. Her children and grandchildren were the pure joy of her life. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with family at their mountain getaway. Mom was a very talented painter and seamstress; often making gifts for her 11 grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and is survived by husband Joseph Macdonald, daughter JuNette Crump (Edward) Terry, son Destry (Janette) Crump, son J.R. (Tammy) Macdonald, son David (Calie) Macdonald; two brothers Robert (Patsy) Horrocks, Gerald (Doreen) Horrocks, two sisters Shirley Ostler, Connie (Cleston) Torrey, 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Sherrie was preceded in death by parents, a sister JoAnn Horrocks Chapel, brother-in-law Orville Ostler, and a grandson Dalon James Macdonald.

Visitations were held at the Huntington First and Fifth Ward building, 115 S. 400 E., on Monday, Aug. 23, 2010 from 10-11:45 a.m. Funeral services followed in the chapel at 12 p.m. (Noon). Interment in the Huntington City Cemetery. Services provided under the trusted care of the Heritage Funeral Home. Friends may sign the guest book at heritagefuneralhomeutah.com.
